Covey Swamp Creek is a small tributary that flows through Moosic & Avoca Pennsylvania, USA. The creek was established in 1900 by the Spring Brook Water Company & Covey Creek Coal Company as a watershed & coal processing site. With the decline of coal production after WWII work stopped & the creek was abandoned. In the generations since it has become local party spot and swimming hole. Locals will tell stories of summer days on the rocks, hallowed party nights & even a rumored death from a daredevil jump into the creek. I wanted to chronicle the place in the Fall when the late night hangouts were coming to an end & the remnants of the Summer were all that remained.
